What happens if a hearing you're set to cover is cancelled by the client

Sometimes, a change in circumstances regarding the matters our clients post hearings for can result in the cancellation of that hearing.  The following is our policy outlining how we handle fees when a cancellation does occur.

Any posted attorney assignment or hearing that is cancelled by our client is subject to 50% of the full contracting service charge if cancelled within 24 hours on a regular business day before the date of the hearing.  Furthermore, any posted attorney assignment or hearing that is cancelled by our client is subject to 100% of the full contracting service charge.

However, this policy may not apply to any cancelled hearings which take place at the same time, in the same location, as non-cancelled hearings in which the attorney is scheduled to appear. In those instances, our "Bundle" or discount rate may be adjusted to reflect the decreased number of hearings the attorney is covering. If hearings in a bundle are cancelled within 24 hrs, you still receive the 50% if within 24 hours or full fee if the same day, however, if you delete the remaining appearance(s), you receive no fees.
