Docketly has a wide range of clients whom use our services, from the little guys to the big ones we serve them all.

Over the past few years, we’ve heard rumblings about the new requirements the CFPB is placing on our clients and the industry as a whole. Several of our largest collection law firms approached us and asked whether we had the ability, and interest, in screening our attorneys for a criminal background. Of course we do! So we made it happen.

Don't worry, we still have our Attorneys in mind!

We wanted to limit the scope of the background check to ease the privacy concerns of our attorneys. Therefore, we decided it would be prudent to run a nationwide 10 year (where not prohibited by law) criminal background check that focused on convictions of financial crimes. We send the authorizations to our vendor, who complete the checks and send back the information to our servers with a PDF which is then stored securely in each attorneys’ account.

So, how do you use it and why should I?

For the Why, Having this information on your profile will earn you bonus points for filling it out. It also allows you to cover the hearings for our Clients that require it, these are the ones that you see post more often, hence more work! The last thing is it will look more promising to our clients and they could make you a preferred attorney for their cases!

Now how to use it.

To begin, start on the Docketly homepage, and you should see what we call the compliance widget. It'll look similar to the chart below, but it'll show incomplete and you can click the link located conveniently to the right. Next Click that link and you'll be on the form to fill out! Once you're finished you're all set and ready to cover hearings!

Another Quick and Easy Way is to Select "Tasks" at the top of your page and there will be the option to "Submit Background Check"
