Sometimes, you’ll come across a hearing that you're interested in covering, but your schedule or other factors block you from selecting it. That’s where override requests come in. If a hearing is still available and you’d like to be considered, you can request an override to see if we can make an exception.

How do overrides work?

Override requests aren’t granted when the hearing is more than one week away. Our team reviews each request carefully, and it typically takes 24 business hours (excluding weekends) to process. If the hearing is still uncovered one week from the scheduled date, you’re welcome to submit your request for a look. For example, let’s say a hearing is scheduled for a Monday, and you submit an override request 14 days in advance. Your initial request will be denied, but if you find the hearing is still uncovered the Monday (7 days) before, feel free to submit your request again for review.

How to Request an Override

If you’re interested in an override, just reach out to Docketly Support through one of these channels:

  • Intercom Chat – This is the fastest way to get in touch with us.

  • Support Ticket – Submit your request directly through the Docketly platform.

  • Phone Call – If you’d rather talk it through, give us a call.

Once you’ve sent in your request, we’ll take a look and get back to you with an update. Some hearings have client-specific restrictions that don’t allow us to approve overrides. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know as soon as we review your request. If you ever have questions about the override process or want to check on a request, just reach out—we’re happy to help!
