A best practice for securing access to websites is to use multi-factor authentication (MFA). Websites will use a variety of mechanisms on top of your password to ensure it is you accessing the website. The idea is that to login you have "something you know" (your password) combined with "something you have" (your phone). Evildoers may have one or the other but it is hard to have both.
Install
At Docketly, we allow MFA using an app on your phone called "Google Authenticator". The app is free from Google and many websites use it to generate security tokens that can be use for login purposes.
Here are the various app store links depending on what type of phone you have. If you don't have one of these two types of phones, there may be other options for you but we do not provide setup steps for those at this time.

Setup
1. To get started, go to your Docketly profile on a computer or tablet by clicking on your picture and name in the upper right corner of any page.
2. Then scroll down to the Security section and look for the green button labeled "Turn On Multi-Factor Authentication."
3. Launch the Google Authenticator app on your phone and press the Add/+ button and choose "Scan barcode". Your camera will come on. Point it at the QR code on your computer screen.
4. Upon seeing the QR code, Google Authenticator will add an entry for Docketly and start showing you numbers.
5. These numbers will change every 60 seconds. The numbers are your personal secret tokens. You need to enter 2 different sets of them back into the webpage shown in step 3 in order to complete setup. So take the numbers on your app (like 268530 shown above) and enter them as "Authentication Code 1". Then WAIT! New codes will be generated in a few seconds. Take that new code and enter it into "Authentication Code 2". Then hit Activate MFA.
6. All done!
Using
The next time you login you will be prompted for a code. Open the Google Authenticator app and get a code and enter it. You may choose to have it remember the device for 30 days so you don't have to enter a code every time you login.
